Elsa's Kopje was named after the famous lioness reared by George & Joy Adamson, of "Born Free" fame, as she frequented this area often. Guests are greeted with a breathtaking view of the surrounding plains and the wetlands below.
The lodge consists of eight stone and thatch private cottages, each individually designed and incorporating the rocks in an open plan layout.
Guests virtually have Meru National Park to themselves and can enjoy game drives in open 4WD vehicles, guided nature walks, fishing, night drives and rafting on the Tana River. Try a bush breakfast, picnic or sundowner or head out to explore the nearby Kora National Park for the day. Whilst in camp take a dip in the pool or browse the library and on-site gift shop.
